the ego system & ego pocket – a different course for:
- Adding dimension to every round with easy-to-read graphical menus and full-color screens
- Increasing precision of shot path, distance and club selection
- Refining game with shot-by-shot statistics on a dedicated Web site
- Improving two-way communication with the Pro Shop and refreshment services
- Perfecting skill with one-of-a-kind “Pro” mode
Any player is sure to be impressed even if they only use the handheld Ego Pocket™ device to find a distance to the next hole. With accuracy to plus-or-minus one yard, the Ego system brings golfers at every stage to a new level of play.
The device's one-of-a-kind “Pro” mode collects comprehensive data about the player's round, including shot-by-shot statistics, and when returned to the Pro Shop docking stations, tranfers that data to a dedicated Web site. It records which clubs a player has chosen and helps them determine where and how to take each shot.
Every Ego Pocket™ user receives an electronic scorecard of their round, which can be printed in the Pro Shop, or at home, where an e-mail is sent with a link to the scorecard. Each player is issued a username and password for the private Web site, and can view charts and graphs of each hole played in the round. All data from every round played with the Ego Pocket™ device is stored permanently on the Web site.
Many golf professionals and avid players have heralded the Ego Pocket™ device as the single most-significant advancement in golf-related technology this decade.
Former European PGA Champion Anders Forsbrand was so impressed by the device and its capacity to impact a player's game, he decided to become Ego Inc.'s official spokesperson across the world.
“What really struck me about the Ego Pocket™ and the Ego system,” Forsbrand said, “was how quickly I could learn the features and functionality, and then put it use on the course.
“It's great to be able to see a shot-by-shot view of my round,” he aded, “and compare how I thought I played to how I really did. It even helps someone like me that's been playing professionally for years get a new perspective.”
